Bright Future is a project of New Resolution India, a non-governmental Organisation (NGO) registered under Public Trust Act, 1950. Bright Future empowers youth to make informed decisions about their careers and thus enables them to transform their passion into gainful employment through life skills development, career development, mentoring support, internships and placement opportunities.

Bright Future also builds capacities of key stakeholders like parents and schools who play an instrumental role in creating a conducive environment for enabling youth to make independent and informed decisions pertaining to their life and career.

Bright Future started its project operations in a full-fledged manner from 2014. Since then, it has worked with 14 low-income private schools, 12 centres, and 47 communities across Mumbai and Thane. Its work has positively impacted the lives of more than 24900 adolescents and youth till 2018-19.

Bright Future’s approach of work includes working directly with target beneficiaries, including adolescents and youth from marginalised communities of Mumbai and Thane, and building their skills and capacity to be able to achieve their dreams and pursue their passions. It also engages with key stakeholders like parents, teachers, principals, local leaders to accelerate this process. Through these layered interventions, the organisation tries to create an enabling environment for young people, with the goal of building strong communities and creating sustainable impact.

Gender is one of the important factors in its Livelihood programme, with a focus on motivating girls to come out from traditional to current changing opportunities and non-traditional livelihoods. Among its constituency, 52% girls are pursuing non-traditional livelihoods.
