Baitali Ganguly is the founder member of Jabala Action Research Organisation since its inception in 1992. She has a Masters Degree in Sociology with over 25 years of experience in Health and Social Development.
Baitali has been successful in launching and implementing programmes like Survivors Football team; CIC (Crisis Intervention Centre) for community-based Rehabilitation, Safe Migration programmes etc. She has undertaken several studies on issues such as Risk Behaviour of Children in Red Light Areas, HIV/ AIDS status among migrants 2012, Safe Migration 2018 supported by the Institute of Public Health & Hygiene; West Bengal State AIDS Prevention Cell, NCW (National Commission for Women) respectively. She has publications on risk behaviour’s in red light area, Child sexual abuse, Human trafficking to her name. She has participated in national and international seminars on issues of Human Trafficking; Child marriage; Rehabilitation of Survivors etc.
She is a member of JJB Kolkata and other government committees on Survivors’ Rehabilitation and Anti Human Trafficking Unit.
